May Mahem 2024

Now is the Merry Month of Maying!  Be sure to be checking your e-mails and REMIND texts as this month is FULL and there are many exciting things going on at the Surfside Campus!

This school year, we programmed our concert season to conclude middle of MAY.   The month of May is A-MAY-zing!   Surfside is very active with FAST Progress Monitoring testing,  end-of-course examinations, and field trips.  In addition, we are busy choosing our fall and winter repertoire, MPA pieces, and our spring show.

Thank you for a wonderful season!

September 12th – SMS Open House

music-free-vector-abstract-457629I want to invite everyone to OPEN HOUSE at Surfside Middle School.  We open the doors from 5:30 PM this evening.  The evening will be a simple drop-in and visit to your child’s teacher.    The purpose of the open house is not to have individual conferences about students; however, to provide information about the school, the teacher, and the classroom environment.

Note:   Show Choir must be on hand 5:15 in the media center with their choir tee-shirts tucked in, belt, and blue jeans (nice dress shoes preferred).   We will sing the National Anthem live over ITV.

We are a Chromebook Classroom!

We are a Chromebook classroom and we use them in our music classes.  There are two places outside of this website where we can find our things for class.  Google Classroom and Canvas are the two places that we go to!

We will use google classroom for the majority of our work which you can access through your apps button in the top right corner of your student Gmail. Our lesson plans and substitute teacher plans will be posted there for you. To get started, you will need to go to the google apps button, click on the google classroom icon, and click on JOIN class.  Below are links to my classes.

(Links will be active in August)
