THE SURFSIDE CONCERT CHOIR

The Surfside Concert Choir is comprehensive and combined chorus of 6th through 8th graders (both choir and music tech classes) to provide them with a rigorous choral curriculum unique to their skill level and development. Membership is granted to every chorus and music tech student who participates appropriately in their choir  and music tech rehearsals. The purpose is to provide singers with further opportunities for performance, creativity and reflection within the rehearsal, performance, and assessment settings. Students can expect to grow vocally, musically, and academically in a safe and caring environment among their peers. Additional rehearsals and special performances will be required of this group in preparation for Music Performance Assessments (MPA).

Special note:  Every rehearsal and performance is an audition for future projects, roles, solos and  groups.  Always put a best foot forward in rehearsal (not just at an audition).
