This year, we’re asking all chorus students AND parents sign up for their class using the Remind service. You can choose to sign up by SMS, email, or even download the app at remind.com/apps. The app offers some additional useful features.
What kind of messages will be sent?
Text messages are useful for short messages. Most messages will be reminders like “Permission slips are due tomorrow” or “Concert Rehearsal Tomorrow”.
On field trips such as MPA, the system can send messages like “Meet us in the bus loading zone at 8:30 AM”, or “please call your parents and tell them we will be at Surfside by 10:30pm”.

Students are highly encouraged to sign up for their class text (SMS) reminders. While parents are welcome to sign up also, messages will be oriented towards student reminders. Reminders will run through Remind.com . This will be a one-way texting system.
